"I enjoyed the location because its outside of the busier Santa Cruz area but close to cute Aptos downtown and Captiola is just a couple exits North. There's fast and easy access to the Highway 1. Grocery stores, shops, coffee, are within walking distance. The property is very well maintained. It has a quiet, woodsy vibe but has a very lively dance floor on Friday and Saturday nights with very good live music. It was very fun. I would definitely stay there again. "

"I waited on my review until i heard back from the property regarding the fact that we jad no running water our departure day (no coffee, showers, or flushing toilets!). Although the initial reaponse to my call was handled poorly (answering service?) and the water was out to the whole building and was not resolved, they were quick to respond and make up for the unacceptable issue. "This was a beautiful place to stay. It had a wonderful pool right out infront of our room- didnt get in the pool but will definitely jump in next time. The carmel beach and carmel towel was only a 20 min drive away, it also had great dine in options that were walkable (5-7 mins). However, front desk staff mentioned they’d have fresh pastries out at 7 in the morning, but when we got there for 7:30 am they were still closed which was a bit of a bummer. "

"It's far from a classy place but it's fine for the price. I'll give it 4 stars because it wasn't terrible. The building is old AF and doesn't seem to be well maintained. I definitely wasn't thrilled about the rooms having carpet instead of hardwood. Just for germy reasons. The guy working was cool and the bed was pretty comfy.
